My Updates

My Story

Wednesday 22nd Apr

There’s no sugar coating it, Alzheimer’s and all other dementia #*%# sucks!  It’s a dreadful disease and I became somewhat aware of it when my aunty showed signs of it, and I saw how it affected her immediate family.  Then my mom, twin sister to my aunty, was diagnosed some years later with dementia and eventually she passed due to Alzheimer’s disease.  As my mom’s caregiver for 11 years, I sadly witnessed how much this disease robbed not just from my mom, but also everyone in her life’s circle.  I have since become actively involved with the Alzheimer’s Association - Hawaii as a volunteer and it is our vision for a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.  Please join with me in making this a reality.  Any and all contribution is greatly appreciated beyond words I could ever express. Mahalo Nui Loa!!
