Gary 'Silver' Schmidt Memorial Ride

Gary “Silver” Schmidt was a retired USAF Master Sargent, Air Weather Service Station Chief, University of Texas Grad, Silversmith, Middle School teacher and track coach, world-class Senior Olympics cyclist and runner, life-long coach, husband, friend and mentor to so many. 13 years ago we did this ride with him as a birthday present. Today we (the same group) and more, ride again as a memorial to Silver. Sadly, he passed earlier this year to Alzheimer’s and we hope to raise funds and awareness for a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.
