Trailblaze 3
Trailblaze was started in 2024 by a few friends and me. Our mission is to raise money for important charities while taking on epic adventures in the outdoors. This is our 3rd year - for year 1 we rode the Empire State Trail and raised $20,000 for the American Brain Tumor Association, and for year 2 we rode the Great Allegheny passage and raised $30,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Oakland.
This August, our team had planned to spend four days cycling approx. 300 miles across Washington's Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail. Unfortunately, the devastating wildfires have forced us to make an audible. We completely scrapped our original plan, and have now pivoted to biking around the Olympic Peninsula. It was a tall task to replan our entire trip, but we were able to get it done in 48 hours!
This year we've chosen to support the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association serves as a vital lifeline for millions of families, providing free educational resources, local support groups, and clinical care consultations. They advocate for public policy changes while offering a 24/7 Helpline staffed by expert clinicians to support caregivers at any hour of the night. Alzheimer's has impacted so many families, and we're proud to support an organization that's funding critical research while providing care and resources for those living with the disease and the people who love them.
