Help me reach my goal for Washburn Challenge!
This June, as my mom, Angela, celebrates her 95th birthday, I'm participating in the Washburn Challenge by biking and kayaking to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association's care, support, and research efforts.
My mom is living with dementia, and watching someone you love gradually lose memories and independence is heartbreaking. Dementia doesn't just affect the person diagnosed—it affects the entire family.
I have also seen firsthand the challenges of caregiving through my sister Sarah, who is my mom's primary caregiver. Her patience, dedication, and daily commitment have given me an even greater appreciation for the support families need as they navigate this disease.
There is reason for hope. Researchers are making important advances in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, but there is still much work to be done. Every donation helps fund research, support programs, education, and advocacy for the millions of families affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.
I'm taking on the Washburn Challenge in my mom's honor. My goal is to raise $1,000, and I would be grateful for your support.
