Alzheimer's disease has affected my family one to many times. I lost my momma on July 4th 2025 to this horrible disease. I have also lost my mamaw and my aunt to it as well. In August of this year I decided to take a genetics test to find out if I to am a carrier for the gene. I tested double positive for the APOE4 gene which showed that I am high risk for developing late onset Alzheimer's. I refuse to let this disease define me, or allow my momma to be another statistic on the spreadsheet. I truly believe that one day we will find a cure. This truly is my fight song. #endalz

9 months without my momma here.

Thursday 2nd Apr
Saturday will make 9 months without my momma being here.  Id be lying if I said its gotten easier to deal with the pain of her not being here.  So much has happened since I felt her last breath.   She's going to be a great-grandma in 2 weeks. She would have been the best great grandma  because she was already the best grandma and mom anyone could ever have.  I really miss her.

It has now been 3 months since my beautiful momma went home to be with Jesus.  I miss her so much every single day, I will continue to fight to find a cure for this horrible disease everyday of the rest of my life.  I tested positive for the EPO4 gene , showing that I am high risk for developing late onset Alzheimer’s. I will not let this disease dictate my future or the future of my children and grandchildren.  One day we will find a cure.
