Caring for Chelsea

When my Uncle Chelsea was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I stepped into the role of his caregiver and moved to Manitowoc, Wisconsin (May 2025), to help care for him. Life as a caregiver can be challenging and hard, but our days are still filled with small moments that mean everything—puzzles at the table, baseball games on TV, and little adventures that keep life joyful. Watching someone you love slowly lose pieces of their memory changes you. And it’s not just memories of people or adventures—it’s also the loss of everyday things like routines and how to do day-to-day living, which brings new challenges along the way.

That’s why supporting the Alzheimer’s Association and walking with Chelsea’s Crew means so much to me—because no family should have to walk this road alone. 💜
