Caring is Sharing...

...life with a family going through the loss of their loved one. I was a caregiver for more than 3 years to a wonderful man named Chris Smith who went on his next grand adventure last November. 

When I first started caring for Chris, we were having a conversation about what people might say about us when we die. I said "I wonder what people will say about me." Without missing a beat, he said "well, they'll probably say 'she had a great face and she showed up'." 

I hope that is always true, and I am forever grateful to his bride, Doralee, his bonus daughter and granddaughter, Kim and Emma, and their whole extended family for adopting me into their life and family, allowing me to love and serve Chris the way he loved and served our community.
