Why am I doing this?

Friday 11th Sep
My mommy died. It’s been 15 years and I still can’t believe it. We started losing her about 10 years before that. Yes, that’s right. I’m 42 and I started losing my mom to Alz while I was still a teenager. I have been trying to think of a way to commemorate the 15-year anniversary of her homegoing. So I’m hoping to raise $1,500 in honor of these 15 years without her. If you’re able, anything is appreciated. I’ll be celebrating her on World Alz Day, Sept 21, and again on November 1 (the day she passed), and on December 11 (her birthday). I celebrate her to keep her legacy fresh for my kids, none of which ever got to meet her. I also share her story because her illness was the single most life-changing experience of my life. Miss her everyday.
