My Updates

30 Days Done!

Tuesday 30th Jun
I finished the month with a deep water class. 45 minutes of nonstop movement. In addition to this wonderful cause, I managed to lose a little over 4 pound!

Overcoming Obstacles

Tuesday 23rd Jun
A week ago, I took a face plant. Luckily, I didn't break my nose or other appendages. However, I have still managed to be in the gym every day this month!  I'm still on track for 30 days!  Overcoming obstacles is a skill all caregivers learn very quickly. One of the many things the Alzheimer's Association does is provide resources that help caregivers overcome those obstacles. Your donation not only aids in research, it enables development and sharing if resources for caregivers. Thanks in advance if you're able to donate.

Day 12

Friday 12th Jun
I continue to get in the pool daily!  This morning we had a celebration breakfast for the Greater Richmond volunteers, so no class. However, to keep to 30 days in the water, I swam laps. Pictures below.
I was humbled to be a part of the volunteer group. There were so many amazing sorties and great work happening.

Day 6

Saturday 6th Jun
Today's class was in the deep end with Chris. Hardest workout of the week. It sorta felt like a swim team practice. It was more fun than that, but I definitely felt it. My Mom spent many thousands of hours in swimming pools watching three of the four of us competing. I'm very grateful for her.

Day 5

Friday 5th Jun
Today's class was packed!  Our trainer, Chris, picked every motion that caused splashing, so no dry heads today!  We had fun!

Day 4

Thursday 4th Jun
Another fun class. Judi does Tuesday and Thursday. Her classes are nonstop movement for 45 minutes. Today's strength was for my arms. I'll need to up the weight on a couple of machines.

Day 3

Wednesday 3rd Jun
So much fun working through all the classes. My classmates have been very supportive!

Day 2 In the Books

Tuesday 2nd Jun
45 minutes of nonstop swimming plus a bit of weight training for my legs.  Whew, Day 2.

Day 1 Done

Monday 1st Jun
My trainer took the picture I posted. I'll share updates throughout the month!
