MIles for Mary Lee

The Longest Day is now called "Do What You Love To End Alzheimer's".

In 2020, my family and I lost my mother to this dreaded disease. We watched her go through her "longest days" when she thought she was about 12 years old living in her childhood home. We had to stand-by, helpless, as her mind slowly deteriorated away. This may be the most cruel disease of all, in the fact that the person that has it has no clue that they are even sick most of the time. Not that other diseases aren't cruel or bad, but with most you know what is happening to you. With most diseases you know when the end is near and you can say your final good-byes. The worst part for me was.... how can you say your final good-bye to someone when they don't realize that they are near the end?

In 2026, we will hold our Annual Miles For Mary Lee Putt For A Cure Golf Tournament, at Bear's Best Golf Club (details coming soon)

Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 6 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.

Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
