OWaLz was created to honor Consuelo "Connie" Guerrero, a.k.a Nannie, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease back in 1993. Connie's loved ones watched as the disease took her memory, and caused her to slowly fade away, until she passed in 2000.  

Over the years the owl has become a symbol that reminds us of Connie. We have owls everywhere, and wanted to spread the owl love while simultaneously raising money to help find a cure, by supporting the Alzheimer's Association through "Do What You Love" a fundraiser with a owl twist. 

Join us in spreading the owl love by purchasing a hand-painted ceramic owl. Each owl is painted with a color symbolic to the Alzheimer's Association by someone who loved Connie. Every owl purchased represents a step forward in the fight against Alzheimer's, bringing us closer to a world where future generations won't have to endure the same prognosis that Connie faced.
