Come and join our event!
Mahj 48 for Memories was created around a shared belief: that something as meaningful as mah jongg can bring people together in powerful ways.
Our team — Nancy de Zutter of Cane Bay Mah Jongg, Jan Egri of Mah Jongg That’s It!, Jennifer Clayton of Mah Jongg Fever, and Michele Frizzell of Mahj Life — has spent years building community through the game. As players, instructors, and leaders, we’ve seen how mah jongg strengthens connection, sharpens the mind, and creates lasting relationships across generations.
That’s what makes this cause personal.
Through our 48-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the longest continuous mah jongg marathon, we are raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s through the Mah Jongg for Memories global team. This effort is not just about endurance at the table — it’s about honoring those affected by memory-related illness and supporting the work being done to advance research, care, and support.
For 48 hours, we will play without interruption. Every tile, every decision, and every hour reflects our commitment to something bigger than the game itself.
Mahj 48 for Memories is our way of turning what we love into something that gives back — inviting the community to stand with us, support the mission, and be part of a meaningful impact.
