Junior NeuroBee — October 2026 Tournament

A Student-Led Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Research

Young Scientists. Real Research. A Fight Against Alzheimer's That Starts in Middle School.

Every year, millions of families watch someone they love slowly lose their memories to Alzheimer's disease. For Team NeuroSpark, this fight isn't abstract — it's personal, and it's part of why we do what we do.

We're a youth-led neuroscience education nonprofit built by students who compete, research, and teach neuroscience — and who believe the next generation needs to understand the brain to help protect it. Our team includes Navneeth Badhri, a 5th place finisher at the National Brain Bee; Saket, a two-time regional Brain Bee award winner; and Vishnu, a national HOSA  competitor. Together, we've built the Junior NeuroBee, a free international neuroscience competition for middle schoolers (grades 6-8), taking place live on Zoom on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The competition itself is completely free — we never want cost to stand between a curious student and a chance to learn about the brain. But we know Alzheimer's research needs support too, and this fundraiser is our way of giving back to a cause that connects directly to why we study the brain in the first place.

Every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer's Association's mission — funding research, care, and support for families facing Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Why It Matters

Alzheimer's disease affects tens of millions of people and their families worldwide. Research funding is what moves us closer to better treatments, better care, and — someday — a cure. As students studying the brain, we've seen firsthand how neuroscience and Alzheimer's research intersect, and we wanted our competition to do more than teach — we wanted it to give back.

What Your Donation Supports

🧠 Alzheimer's Association research and family support programs — funded through this event
🎓 A free, accessible neuroscience competition for middle schoolers around the world
🌱 The next generation of neuroscience-literate students — many of whom may go on to research the very disease this fundraiser supports

A Thank-You for Donors

As our way of saying thank you, every donor is invited to a live 60-minute Q&A with Navneeth, Saket, and Vishnu — hear their Brain Bee journeys, their research experiences, and get real study tips straight from students who've competed at the national and regional level.

Support our fight against Alzheimer's — any amount makes a difference.
