I'm fundraising for my mom, Natalie McMillan
In 2024, my mom, Natalie McMillan, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at age 55. Since then, she and our family have had to adapt rapidly to the realities of this aggressive disease. But my mom is so much more than Alzheimer’s.
She is the person who taught my sister and me the value of hard work. She introduced us to swimming, sparking a lifelong love of keeping our bodies in motion. Some of my fondest memories are waking up at the crack of dawn to head to the pool, the three of us doing triathlons together in Oregon, and camping at the top of a mountain.
My mom inspires me. She conquered a half Ironman and has always shown our family what it means to keep moving forward. I admire her creativity, her love for drawing, and her deep drive to help others.
I am running the New York City Marathon in honor of everything my mom has taught me. I am running for her, for the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s, and for the hope that one day we will find a cure.
Please consider donating to my campaign and supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Every contribution helps fund care, support, and research for families like mine.
