I'm on a nine-year journey to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, and next year will mark my sixth year on this adventure. Along the way, my family has faced a difficult challenge: my dad has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
This diagnosis has made my journey even more meaningful. Next year, I'll be hiking not only to pursue my goal of completing the Appalachian Trail, but also to raise money and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. My hope is to help support research that will one day lead to a cure and give hope to families affected by this devastating disease.
I'll be spending three weeks on the trail, hiking 288 miles from Damascus, Virginia, to Jennings Creek near Arcadia, Virginia. Every mile will have a purpose beyond reaching the next destination.
Please consider supporting my hike by donating to the fight against Alzheimer's. Every contribution, no matter the size, can help make a difference for my dad and the millions of families facing this disease. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping me turn every step into a step toward a cure.
