Help fight Alzheimer’s on The Longest Day
On April 30, we lost my mom, Gerri, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
This June, I'm participating in the Washburn Challenge to raise vital funding for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
I’m participating in honor of my mother, and in honor of my daughter-in-law’s mother, Sarah McLeod, who also lost her battle with this disease.
Today, over seven million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, but there’s hope.
For the first time, we have a blood test used in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease cleared for use by the FDA, and we’re also seeing treatments that do more than manage symptoms, they actually slow disease progression for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.
Ongoing studies and promising prevention-focused trials are exploring ways to one day stop Alzheimer’s before symptoms ever appear.
Together, we can keep this momentum going and show those facing Alzheimer's that they’re not alone.
Please make a donation here to help the Alzheimer's Association continue driving research toward more advancements, supporting families, and advocating on their behalf.
Thank you!
