Love Remembers

My daddy has always called me his sweetness.

No matter how old I got, that’s who I was to him.

His diagnosis will change a lot of things—but it won’t ever change that.

Some days are hard. There are moments that hurt in a quiet way… when I see him searching for words or trying to hold onto memories. But even in those moments, I still see him. I still hear the love in his voice.

And when he calls me his sweetness, it reminds me that no diagnosis can take away what we have.

So I hold onto that.

To the love. To the memories. To him.

Because no matter what this journey looks like— 

I will always be his sweetness. 💚
