24 Hour hike/trail run to raise money for dementia research and support
Hi, I'm Adventure John. My goal is to tie in raising money for the Alzheimer's Foundation with doing a 60 mile hike, in one push, on the Long Trail, Vermont. My "60 before turning 60" is dedicated to my father, John II, and father-in-law, Charlie who passed away within weeks of each other this past spring. Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia were significant factors in their passing. This hike/trail run will climb several of Vermont's highest peaks and accumulate almost 20,000 vertical feet. Starting at Smuggler's Notch, I will reach Canada in 24-30 hours, good Lord willing. Please support this endeavor with a donation to help fight this terrible disease.
