Who are we and our Why...

Maggie’s Cakes for a Cause is a mother/daughter team with a passion for baking and a mission to End Alzheimer's. Ashleigh Wasson and her now 7 year old, Maggie have been participating in the Alzheimer's Association fundraisers for the last several years. Maggie, who even at the young age of 2, loved baking with her mom and grandma. After seeing an opportunity to raise money for Alzheimer's, Ashleigh started Maggie's Cakes for a Cause. Throughout the year, Ashleigh and Maggie bake, craft and do other events to raise money for the cause. Whether its baking up a delicious dump cake, selling lemonade on a hot summer day, or organizing a garage sale, all the money goes to the Alzheimer's Association. 
Millions of families are affected by Alzheimer's and ours has been no exception. We have lost a dad, grandpa, great grandpa to this disease. We also are going through this now with Maggie’s great granny. We know what Alzheimer's does to families and we want to help find a cure so others don't have to go through what we have and currently are experiencing.
