Four years ago, my family lost my Mimi to Alzheimer's disease. She was one of the kindest, most loving people I have ever known and someone who brought so much joy to everyone around her. She was the heart of our family, and some of my favorite childhood memories are the ones I shared with her. Watching someone you love slowly lose their memories, independence, and pieces of who they are is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Alzheimer's gradually takes away the very things that make a person who they are, leaving families to grieve long before they have to say goodbye.

Throughout her journey, my PopPop devoted himself to caring for her every single day with unwavering love and patience, and our entire family came together to support them both. We witnessed firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll that Alzheimer's places not only on the individual but on every person who loves them. Just two months ago, we also lost my PopPop, making this fundraiser even more meaningful to me. I find comfort knowing they are together again, but I also know that no family should have to experience the pain that Alzheimer's brings.

That is why I created Stronger Together for Alzheimer's. This fundraiser is in honor of my Mimi, my PopPop, and every individual, caregiver, and family navigating the heartbreak of this disease. Every donation helps fund critical research, provide care and support for families, and brings us one step closer to a future where no one has to watch someone they love disappear to Alzheimer's.
