My Updates

After-Event Report

Saturday 20th Jun
Nobody thought to take photos, but we had a great time.  We had two tables and played with individual rotations, so my Emerald Bridge Club friends got to play with my St. Jude bridge club friends!

Judy brought one of her legendary charcuterie boards and I made a chocolate cake, the remains of which were brought to (and devoured at) the Unit Game this morning.  No one went hungry, and many people said that we should repeat the evening.

Donations at the event totaled $460!  Thanks to everyone who made the event so fun and who were so generous in donating!

Change in Plans!

Friday 5th Jun
Emerald Bridge Club is sponsoring an Alzheimer's fundraiser at the club during its regular Thursday duplicate game on June 18--I'll be there and I hope all you duplicate players will be there, too!

So, instead of the mixed duplicate/social game I'd been thinking about having at the club on Wednesday, we're going to have an unsanctioned game (that is, no masterpoints awarded) at my house on Friday, June 19.  If enough people show up wanting to play duplicate, we'll play (I have 32 ancient metal boards!), at this point without a director.  Mostly, though, I'm expecting people who want to play social bridge to come.

Please drop me a line if you're going to come so I'll be sure to have enough tables and chairs.  If you can bring bridge tables and chairs, that would be wonderful--please let me know.  Looking forward to seeing you all!
