Last year, I decided to sign up to be a volunteer at the Alzheimer's Walk by myself. It was truly unbelievable to be part of something so large and meaningful. I never expected to see so many people come together. Whether they were volunteers, speakers, individuals currently living with an Alzheimer's diagnosis, or family and friends supporting someone they love, everyone was there for one another.
The entire time I was there, I couldn't help but think of my grandmother and all of the struggles she faced during her battle with Alzheimer's. I also thought about Esther, who is currently in the beginning stages of this devastating disease. My hope is that it does not continue to progress and that we can continue working toward a future without Alzheimer's.
I had planned to volunteer again this year, but with my daughter's wedding taking place, I wasn't able to commit to volunteering. However, supporting this cause is still very important to me, and I would love to raise money for the Alzheimer's Walk taking place in Indianapolis on October 3.
Any donation, big or small, would mean so much to me and to the fight against Alzheimer's. Thank you so much for your love, support, and generosity. 💜
