Tri to End Alz

We were the lucky ones. When my mom had a concern about her cognition, her GP did not dismiss her and gave her a quick cognitive test. Would yours? After he found an issue, she was referred to a Neuro and got an appointment within 2 weeks? Doe you have that kind of access? He immediately ordered an MRI and lumbar puncture and she was able to schedule within a week. After testing positive for Alzheimer's they ordered a genetic test to see if she had the gene that would put her daughters at risk and if the treatment would have increased risks. Again, this only took about 3 weeks for all of this. After testing negative she was started on Lecanemab, an infusion that slows down the the disease and is only a few miles away. Is the drug available in your area?

Not only is the Alzheimer's Association funding research for a cure and treatments but they are working to make sure you have access and your Dr's can help diagnosis quickly!
