This summer, my family members and I are honoring my husband, partner and best friend, Rich and all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias by participating in 48 Peaks, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Alzheimer's is near and dear to my heart as Rich lost his battle with this heartbreaking disease 3 years ago.

We will be hiking to the summit of one of New Hampshire's 4,000ft. peaks in the White Mountains in June. Please make a donation and help us reach our goal!

In the last three years, we have made monumental progress in the world of treatment against Alzheimer's, including the first disease-modifying treatments. But, the fight is far from over. Today, over 50 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including over 7 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 11 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia, providing over $350 billion worth of unpaid care. We must take action now, as these numbers continue to rise.
