Help me reach my goal for Washburn Challenge!
I have been participating in the Washburn Challenge since it began 10 years ago. There is no better way to kick off summer then participating in the Washburn Challenge and raising funds and awareness to END Alzheimer's. This June my team and I will be biking the Shinning Sea bike path (America's first rail trail), kayaking around Washburn's Island in Waquoit Bay and celebrating all the funds we have raised and progress that has been made to see the first survivor of Alzheimer's.
In the last three years, we have made monumental progress in the world of treatment against Alzheimer’s, including the first disease-modifying treatments ever. But, the fight is far from over. Today, over 50 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including over 7 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 12 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia, providing over $350 billion worth of unpaid care. We must take action now, as these numbers continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to my fundraising page to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
