SATURDAY, OCT 4TH, 2025

Sunday 28th Sep
Hello good people,

Saturday is going to be a memorable day to say the least! Not only does this mark an honoring of Anita’s journey with Mixed Dementias and Joshua’s journey of caregiving, but it also marks the beginning of a communal effort.

The Huff Foundation for Fundraising takes its first breaths of life by partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association. We hope you are able to join us, but if not, you can still contribute directly to the cause.

Be well my friends!

2 Weeks Away!

Sunday 21st Sep
Hello everyone,

Joshua Huff here.

I’m so glad you’ve decided to join me in honoring my late mother and the millions of other individuals who experience dementia every single year.

While it is one of the leading causes of fatality, her case is particularly special due to her young age. Passing away a few months before her 62nd birthday, Anita’s journey went undiagnosed for many years until it was too late.

It was only a few days after the COVID-19 lockdown began that I received the call my mother was in the Howard County Psych Ward. She was transferred to John’s Hopkins for intense testing and released after weeks of being isolated in an unfamiliar setting.

At the young age of 24, I became her primary caregiver and legal representative. I had to navigate a disease I had never heard about, an unyielding medical system, and still manage my own seizures and conditions. It was a very difficult 6 years of caregiving and advocating for my mother, but I would do it all over again without question.

So where do we go from here?

Alzheimer's Disease and other Related Dementias aren’t going anywhere. Neither is Epilepsy, Cancer, and plethora of other conditions. With the cuts to federal funding and community resources, we need to come together as a village now more than ever.

Not only do we need to uplift ourselves and those we love, but the communities of human beings in need all over the world. The dream is that The Huff Foundation for Fundraising will become a lighthouse on the ocean of distress.

A tool of navigation that will help support communities facing all kinds of disparities. For now, we start smaller and build up step by step.

Thank you again for joining me here in the early stages of making the world a better place. Be well my friends!
