This Easter season feels different.

April 3rd has always been Paw. Paw.'s birthday... a day that should feel light, celebratory, and full of the kind of joy he brought into every room. This year, it lands on the same day we lost him - the floating date of Good Friday. This overlap makes everything a little heavier... and a little more meaningful at the same time.

This time of year has always been about love, connection, and togetherness. Now, it holds something more layered for our family. There's still joy, still color, still moments that make you smile... but they sit right alongside grief, memory, and the quiet weight of missing someone who meant so much.

Maybe that's what this season looks like now... not one thing or the other, but both.

Earlier this year, I shared a message about loving with purpose... about choosing to show up for the people we care about in a way that truly matters. That hasn't changed. If anything, it feels even more important now.

Because Alzheimer's and other dementias don't just affect one person... they ripple through families, slowly changing moments, memories, and connections. Even in the midst of that, one thing remains constant:

Love.

Love is still there.

Love is still powerful.

Love is still worth fighting for.

That's exactly why this fundraiser matters so much.

"Slide Into a Cure" isn't just something fun we're doing. It's a way to take all of that *love, loss, memories, and hope* and put it into motion. It's a way to honor Paw. Paw. not just by remembering him, but by continuing the fight that impacts so many families like ours.
