With Love
Finally found the words to describe A Celebration of Hope 2026 (although I can't quite believe what I'm typing!).
On Thursday, May 14 the Alzheimer's Association Cleveland Area and Greater East Ohio Area Chapters held our annual gala, raising a RECORD-SHATTERING $878,555!!! This comes as a 30.8% increase from 2025, reflecting a year's worth of dreams coming to life.
When I look at this number, I am most proud thinking of families like the Pfeiffers who bravely shared their story for our mission video: youtube.com/watch?v=hoUYq11v9hM&feature=youtu.be. If you watch this through, you will quickly understand why they received a standing ovation from our crowd of nearly 400.
Families like the Pfeiffers are what drive us. Their vulnerability, strength, determination and above all, love.
Love is the force behind our progress; the thing that helps us show up on the hard days and find even greater meaning in the good. Love puts a name to our work, meaning to our pain and a reason to refuse to quit until our vision is realized.
When I look at the below picture, my heart is bursting with love for our mission and gratitude for the chance to honor the most incredible man, my Grandpa John, each day.
Although the gala has passed, I am collecting donations this June in recognition of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. If you are feeling particularly inspired, I am asking for your help to reach my $1,445 goal to get our total impact to a clean $880,000!
