"There is one thing that Alzheimer's cannot take away and that is love. Love is not a memory - it's a feeling that resides in your heart and soul."

On June 5, 2018, my mom passed away at just 64 years old from dementia, after living with the disease for well over a decade. 
This month, I will be participating in my 7th fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association.  I first participated in 2013 - an event my mom attended, and loved, but didn’t know it was for her.  Since then, I've gone on to raise over $230,000 for the Alzheimer’s association in honor of my incredible mother, who was taken from us far too soon, and with hope that we will someday (soon!) have the first survivor of Alzheimer's.

So, in honor of my wonderful mom, please take some time this month and #livelikeliz!

Eat some peanut butter M&M’s, take your dogs for a car ride, nap in the sunshine, enjoy a glass of fancy champagne, or blast some tom petty.  And if you can, please consider making a donation to my fundraiser and help us put an end to this devastating disease. Thank you!
