48 Peaks

Help me reach my goal for 48 Peaks!

In 2024 we lost my dad. Clement Lamarre a.k.a. Pops or PopPop, to complications stemming from Alzheimer's Disease. He was a brilliant and selfless man, a loving husband to my mom and dad to the ten of us children. He was slowly reduced to a shell of himself by this cruel disease. With my Uncle Andre's passing in October, my dad's family of eight children has seen five of them suffer similar fates. I can say firsthand Alzheimer's Disease is brutal, stripping my dad of his independence, ability to connect, share memories, stories, a song, and a joke. For families like mine, the pain is difficult, grieving for a loved one who is still physically there while feeling helpless watching that loved one disappear in slow motion.

Until there is a cure, I fear for my generation and the next and will continue doing what I can to raise awareness to Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementia and to the great work of the Alzheimer's Association.

Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Your donation helps fund research for a cure and to maintain free support programs families like mine relied on. Thank you very much in advance.
