My dad died from ALZ in November of 2014. But he had been gone long before that. He hadn't opened his eyes or said a word for three years before he passed. That's what this disease does; it strips away the mind little by little until there's nothing left. It was hard to watch my dad disintegrate. The kind, intelligent, loving man vanished slowly. But it was harder still to watch my mom struggle to care for his constantly changing needs. I'm hoping that by raising money, we can help some family get the care that they need. This is my first attempt at fundraising and I greatly appreciate any amount that you can give.
