10th annual Brandy Old Fashioned Golf Outing: "Making a meaningful impact in the fight against Alzheimer's disease". What began as a family golf outing has grown into a community tradition that brings together more than 130 golfers, friends, and supporters each year. The event was created in honor of our mother, Agnes, who passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the heart of our family—a loving mother of sixteen children, a devoted grandmother of 39, and a woman whose kindness touched countless lives. Like so many families, we watched this disease slowly take away precious memories and moments that can never be replaced. Today, more than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's, and nearly 13 million family members and friends provide unpaid care for loved ones affected by dementia. While the numbers are staggering, for us this cause is deeply personal. This year, the Alzheimer's Association has launched its new national campaign, "Do What You Love to End Alz."  We could not think of a more fitting message. We love spending time together on the golf course—to help create a future where no family has to experience the heartbreak of this devastating disease.
