Meeting You Again
Wednesday 17th Sep Before my grandma Lorelei passed this last February, I wrote a song about her. It represents the pain people feel when losing a loved one to Alzheimer’s.There’s something in your laugh
It sounds just like mine
Is it coming from the past
Have I been losing time
Forgive me, I feel so scared
I feel lost I feel unprepared
You can meet me
In the corner of my mind
Where it’s easy
Easier to find
Precious memories
That made into who I am
If you see me
See that I’m trying to hold onto
The years of my life
If you meet me
I’ll stay as long as I can
I look forward to meeting you again
The world used to be so big around me
Now all I know is only what’s in front of me
These hands seem too old to be mine
But when I hold yours
I go back in time
Meet me
In the corner of my mind
Where it’s easy
Easier to find
Precious memories
That made into who I am
Who I still am
See me
See that I’m trying to hold onto
The years of my life
If you meet me
I’ll stay as long as I can
I look forward to meeting you again
