The Brain Health Challenge to Benefit The Alzheimer's Association
November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and I built something for it that I think this group in particular will appreciate.
It’s called the 30-Day Brain Health Challenge to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. You give $25 to the Alzheimer’s Association through my fundraiser page, and on November 1 you get access to a daily Brain Health app (like Wordle) I built myself. Each morning for thirty days you log yesterday’s steps, tap off the five pillars you did (move, nourish, sleep, connect, learn), and answer one question. Two minutes. There’s a points leaderboard, a running total of every step our group walks together, and a few surprise days with small prizes donated by friends.
We spend our days telling patients and families that these habits lower dementia risk. This is thirty days of doing them ourselves, alongside colleagues, with a little friendly competition and a thermometer that shows what we raised together.
I’ll be honest about my second motive: I’ve fallen in love with building apps with AI, and I wanted to put something I made in front of people whose opinion I trust. You’ll be my first players, and I’d welcome your feedback.
Donate, fill out the short form on the thank-you page, and you’ll hear from me on October 31 with your sign-in. If a colleague or a patient’s family member would enjoy this, bring them along.
Thank you for being part of it.
