Mom’s Story

Wednesday 13th May

On September 12, 2022, our beloved mom, Gerene, lost her courageous 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Mom was a devoted caregiver and a Registered Nurse who, with both compassion and strength, spent her career caring for patients with Alzheimer’s. The irony of her own diagnosis was heartbreaking, but her legacy of service remains powerful. Her dedication to her patients was unmatched, and her spirit continues to inspire us every day.

 

Watching her give so much of herself to this cause has shown me just how critical Alzheimer’s care and research truly are. That’s why I’m raising funds in her memory — to support the fight against Alzheimer’s and help others facing the same journey.
