My Why.

Thursday 19th Mar
My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2006. Watching him lose all the parts of himself was confusing and heartbreaking. In April 2009, I have tons of pictures of him running on the lawn of CVPH feeding the birds with my kids. He died August 20, 2009. In 2021 mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Watching her lose all the parts of herself is heartbreaking and soul crushing, as if I have a checklist to mark off each piece. It really is the long goodbye. We need to do more for each generation that is faced with this horrible disease. That is my why.
