Help me reach my goal for 48 Peaks!
This summer, I am honored to be partaking in 48 Peaks, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts for Alzheimer’s & dementia. I will be joined by my husband, our almost 6.5 month old baby, Oliver, & a group of friends who have become family who have all been deeply touched by the disease.
I hike in honor of my Yiayia, Maria, who had dementia in the last years of her life. Yiayia was vibrant, graceful, warm, had a smile that lit up any room she was in & a contagious laugh that will forever echo in my mind.
This will be Oliver’s first hike 4,000 footer. He is already a nature baby, & we are honored to introduce him to the mountains through such an incredible organization. We will physically climb as high as he will tolerate, but mentally be at the summit, sending a message of hope to all those affected that one day Alzheimers & all other dementia will be nothing but a memory.
Any donation you are able to make would be appreciated as we reach for our goal. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you!
